Jean’s writing career began as a freshman in high school where she composed a lengthy romantic novel involving her best friend, George Harrison and Paul McCartney. If life had genuinely followed art, Mr. McCartney would have been happily married to Dr. Bratcher by her sophomore year. Sadly, life does not always mimic art and poor Paul had to make do with the other women of his dreams and a fantastic career to soothe his wounded soul. Jean got over it, too, eventually.
Jean considered a career in theater but found that she liked eating on a regular basis far too much to pursue that line.
Her next major foray into the literary world was as a playwright. Jean created a two act Christmas play that was presented by the members of one of Columbus Ohio’s senior centers. As happens to all playwrights, she was heavily rewritten by the cast members. This led Jean to decide that some other field of endeavor might prove more productive.
Ultimately she found Psychology and is currently happily employed training doctoral students to become psychologists too.
